Master Copy Images

The first round of reference images for the Master Copy assignment are deliberately blurred. This is to train you to paint an image starting with general compositional structure (value, color, shape) before getting wrapped up in specific details.

For this assignment, you will work from the blurry reference to paint a master copy. There are three more stages of increasing sharpness between these blurry versions and the actual image. I will upload a new post on the blog with each successively finer-detailed images every two or three days between now and March 5th, when the finished painting is due.

Please choose one of the following six paintings to work from, and sign up for which image you have chosen on this listhttps://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgW8ObhXABJFdHJUSGs4TFBiWkxsbXN6VHBOTmltMWc

Email me if you would like a higher-resolution copy of the image and if I have one I will send it to you.
